This is a culturally nuanced one.
Since Singapore got independent in 1965, every ID started with an ‘S’. Then the 2000s hit and the country started to issue ‘T’ IDs to Gen Z and Alpha. No one really noticed, no one made a big deal out of it.
But we thought it was curious. And decided Yeo’s (a tea brand popular in the region) should give it meaning. So we made 'T' stand for 'tea' and encouraged this new generation of tea drinkers to claim their birth right: Yeo’s First Harvest Green Tea.
